From Scratch to Solid Object

Start your 3D modeling journey by turning simple ideas and hand sketches into solid, printable 3D models. This foundation semester covers the essential skills required to create, edit, and refine your designs using Autodesk Fusion 360.

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, this course gives you the exact building blocks to design with confidence.


What You’ll Learn

  • 01 — Sketching & Basic Modeling
    • Navigate the Autodesk Fusion 360 modeling environment with ease.
    • Create, edit, and dimension 2D sketches using proper proportions.
    • Extrude simple geometric sketches into 3D forms.
  • 02 — Parametric Editing Features
    • Modify existing features and dimensions on the fly.
    • Understand and use the feature history timeline.
    • Adjust underlying sketches while keeping models fully editable.
  • 03 — Design Refinement & Print Readiness
    • Clean up geometry and add refined practical details.
    • Identify and fix common modeling errors before exporting.
    • Optimize models specifically for successful 3D printing.
  • 04 — Capstone Project: Idea to Solid Object
    • Apply everything learned through a guided workflow: IDEA → SKETCH → MODEL → EDIT → REFINE.
    • Complete a fully custom, editable 3D model from scratch by the end of the semester.

Course Format & Flexible Schedules

To accommodate busy schedules, each module is offered across two distinct time tracks. Students choose ONE slot track upon enrollment (switching slots is subject to availability).

  • Option A — Weekend Intensive (Saturday Track)
    • Duration: 3 Days (4 hours/day)
    • Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour lunch break)
    • Dates: September 2026
  • Option B — Evening Track (Friday Track)
    • Duration: 6 Days (2 hours/day)
    • Time Slots: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM | 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Class Details:

  • Class Size: Intimate small-group setting (5–8 students maximum).
  • Instruction: Hands-on guidance powered by 1 Dedicated Lecturer + 1 Support Tutor.
  • Location: Inventadore HQ, G-5.
